A foldable electric bike gives you the ride comfort of a full-size e-bike in a compact, take-anywhere design - fold it in a few moves and carry it onto the bus, the train or into a car boot. Our range covers every need: light city folders for the daily commute, wider-tyre folding fatbikes for rougher roads and longer trips, and larger-battery models for riders who want to go further on a single charge. Most run on both pedal assist and a throttle. Motor power typically sits between the street-legal 250 W and more powerful models, weight is about 15-30 kg, and wheels are usually 14-20 inches.

Foldable electric bike specifications - what they mean

Before you buy, it helps to know what the numbers mean for your ride:

  • Fold mechanism and packed size - a good folding e-bike collapses in seconds without tools; the frame, stem and pedals should lock firmly, and the bike should stand on its own once folded. Check the folded dimensions against your storage spot, lift or car boot so you know it will actually fit.
  • Weight for carrying and commuting - a city folder weighs about 15-20 kg and can be lifted up stairs or onto a train, while folding fatbikes run closer to 25-30 kg. If you will carry the bike often, favour a lighter model; every product page lists the exact weight.
  • Battery and range (removable) - a bigger battery (more Ah and Wh) means more range but adds weight. On many models the battery unlocks from the frame, so you can carry it inside and charge it at your desk. Real-world range is usually 60-80% of the maker's figure and depends on rider weight, terrain, wind and temperature.
  • Wheel size - most foldables use 14-20 inch wheels to stay compact. Smaller wheels fold down tighter and feel nimble in traffic; larger wheels roll over bumps and potholes more smoothly.
  • Brakes - disc brakes give the strongest, most reliable stopping, especially in the wet. Mechanical discs are easy to service and hydraulic discs need less hand effort. Whatever the type, make sure both wheels brake well before you rely on the bike in city traffic.

Which model is right for you?

  • Daily commuting and mixed transport: a light, quick-folding model you can carry onto the bus or train and tuck under your desk.
  • Longer distances: a larger-battery folding e-bike that goes further on a single charge.
  • Rough roads and light trails: a wider-tyre folding fatbike that soaks up bumps and keeps grip on loose ground.
  • Comfort and an upright position: a low-step model that is easy to get on and off.
  • If folding is not essential: browse our full electric bikes range, or the classic city bikes for relaxed everyday riding.

On most models folding takes a few seconds to half a minute and needs no tools: you release the frame, stem and sometimes pedal latches, then fold the bike together. With a little practice it becomes a quick everyday move.
Light city folders weigh about 15-20 kg, while wider-tyre folding fatbikes are closer to 25-30 kg. If you often lift the bike up stairs or carry it onto public transport, choose a lighter model. The exact weight is listed on each product page.
Yes, that is the main advantage of a foldable bike: once folded it fits into public transport, lifts and a car boot. Larger vehicles usually allow a folded bike on board, but at peak times it is worth checking the operator's rules and available space.
City folders typically cover about 40-60 km per charge, and larger-battery models more. Real-world range is usually 60-80% of the maker's figure and depends on rider weight, terrain, wind and temperature.
On many foldable models the battery unlocks from the frame with a key, so you can carry it inside and charge it at home or at your desk. This is handy if you park the bike in a shed or hallway. Check each product's specs to confirm the battery is removable.
Most of our foldable models offer both: pedal assist that adds power as you pedal, and a throttle for pulling away or riding without pedalling. You can switch between them to suit the moment and to stretch your range.
Yes. Folded down, these bikes are made to fit a car boot, a lift and a small flat. Measure your storage spot and boot and compare them with the bike's folded dimensions, which are listed in the technical specs, before you buy.
Many models take riders up to around 100-120 kg and have adjustable seat and stem heights. If you are taller or heavier, check the maximum rider weight and the folded and riding dimensions on the product page to be sure of a comfortable fit.
A pedal-assist model up to 250 W and 25 km/h is generally treated like a normal bicycle. Rules can change, so check current requirements. For the wider range see our electric bikes collection.
A standard pedelec usually does not require separate insurance, but it is worth checking your own terms and any local rules. For general e-bike questions, browse our electric bikes collection.
It depends on your commute, storage and how far you ride: light folders suit mixed transport, larger batteries suit longer trips, and folding fatbikes suit rougher roads. See the use-case guide above, or compare the full electric bikes range.
Every foldable electric bike comes with a manufacturer warranty, and we provide in-house service and spare parts when needed. Orders are delivered in Tallinn, Tartu and across Estonia within 1-3 business days, with the option to pay in full or in instalments. See the full warranty terms.
