1. General Provisions

1.1. These warranty terms apply to products purchased from the Ampride OÜ online store, including electric scooters, electric bicycles, self-balancing vehicles, spare parts, and accessories.

1.2. Ampride OÜ sells goods throughout the European Union and complies with EU and Republic of Estonia consumer protection legislation.

1.3. These terms do not limit the Buyer’s statutory rights. This document primarily describes the Seller’s statutory liability for defects. Any manufacturer’s warranty applies additionally under the manufacturer’s own terms.

2. Seller’s Liability for Defects

2.1. In consumer sales, the Seller is liable for non-conformity with the contract that becomes apparent within 2 years from delivery of the goods to the Buyer.

2.2. A defect exists if the product does not match its description or characteristics, has a manufacturing or material defect, or is not suitable for its customary use.

2.3. During the first 6 months, it is presumed that the defect existed at the time of delivery, unless this is incompatible with the nature of the goods or defect. This does not apply to defects arising from normal use, such as wear and tear. Consumables and batteries are assessed individually.

2.4. It is not considered a defect if the product does not comply with legal requirements of the Buyer’s country of residence or use, including traffic regulations, provided that technical specifications were clearly disclosed before purchase and the product matches the manufacturer’s and Seller’s description.

2.5. The Buyer must use and maintain the product according to manufacturer instructions. Failures caused by misuse, neglect, or ignoring instructions are not the Seller’s responsibility.

2.6. The Buyer is responsible for the legality of using the product based on location and manner of use.

3. Product Receipt and Unpacking

3.1. The Buyer is advised to record video and photos when unpacking the product to document transport damage, missing parts, or visible defects.

3.2. Recording is not mandatory but significantly helps resolve issues quickly.

4. Reporting a Defect

4.1. Defects must be reported via email to support@ampride.ee

4.2. The report should include a description of the issue, date of occurrence, photos and/or videos, and the order or invoice number.

4.3. Defects must be reported within a reasonable time after discovery.

4.4. If a defect appears after 6 months and indicates possible misuse or lack of maintenance, the Buyer must cooperate and provide relevant usage and maintenance information.

5. Consumable Parts

5.1. Consumables include parts that wear during normal use, such as brake pads, brake discs, brake cables, and tires. Battery specifics are described separately.

5.2. Normal wear and tear is not a defect and is not covered.

5.3. Possible manufacturing defects in consumables should be reported as soon as possible, preferably within 14 days of receipt.

5.4. Later complaints may be harder to assess but do not remove the Buyer’s right to submit a claim within 2 years.

6. Batteries

6.1. Batteries are consumables whose lifespan depends on usage, charging habits, rider weight, terrain, weather, and storage conditions.

6.2. The Seller is liable for manufacturing and material defects in batteries for 2 years from delivery.

6.3. Normal battery wear includes capacity reduction down to 70% within 24 months when used correctly and without signs of defect.

6.4. Battery assessment may include voltage measurements, range comparison, and photo or video evidence. Voltage alone does not determine battery capacity.

6.5. Manufacturer range estimates are measured with a rider of approximately 70 kg, on flat asphalt, and in favorable conditions. Variations due to weight, terrain, weather, tire pressure, or riding style are not defects.

6.6. Battery misuse includes use contrary to instructions, wrong chargers, deep discharge during storage, improper temperatures, water damage including pressure washing, unauthorized repairs, or modifications.

7. Problem Resolution

7.1. The Seller raises the claim with the manufacturer and resolves it in cooperation with the Buyer.

7.2. Possible solutions include adjustment or calibration, replacement of defective parts, replacement of the product, or refund.

7.3. If part replacement is required, it is assumed the Buyer can reasonably perform it. Labor or mechanic costs are generally not covered unless agreed otherwise or professional repair is justified.

7.4. In case of serious defects, such as frame failure due to manufacturing error, the Seller may offer replacement or refund. Store credit is offered only with Buyer consent.

7.5. The solution depends on the nature of the defect and specific circumstances.

8. Shipping Costs and Diagnostics

8.1. If a defect cannot be assessed remotely, the product or part may need to be sent for diagnostics.

8.2. If the defect is covered by warranty, reasonable shipping costs are reimbursed or return is arranged according to Seller instructions.

8.3. If diagnostics show no defect, shipping and related costs are borne by the Buyer.

9. Seller’s Discretion

9.1. The Seller may offer multiple resolution options.

9.2. The goal is a reasonable, proportional, and cooperative solution.

10. Business Customers (B2B)

10.1. Warranty terms for businesses apply according to contract or manufacturer terms.

10.2. Consumer protection laws do not apply to business customers unless otherwise agreed.

11. Right of Withdrawal and Returns (14 days)

11.1. Consumers may withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods without providing a reason.

11.2. Withdrawal must be submitted by email to support@ampride.ee with order or invoice number, product name, and optional reason.

11.3. The product must be returned within 14 days after withdrawal notice. Return instructions are coordinated with the Seller.

11.4. The Buyer may handle and test the product only as necessary to determine its nature and function. If signs of use or damage exist, the refund may be reduced accordingly.

11.5. Returned products must be complete and packed in original or equally protective packaging.

11.6. Return shipping costs are generally borne by the Buyer unless the return is due to a Seller-covered defect or otherwise agreed.

11.7. Refunds are issued within 14 days of receiving the withdrawal notice, but payment may be withheld until the product or proof of return is received.

11.8. The right of withdrawal does not apply to custom-made products and other exceptions defined by EU and local law.

12. FAQ
BATTERY

Is the battery covered by warranty?
Yes, for manufacturing and material defects for 2 years. Batteries are consumables. Capacity at 75% after 18 months is normal wear; 50% after 3 months is likely a defect.

Does cold weather affect battery capacity?
Yes. Low temperatures temporarily reduce performance and range. This is normal.

Is battery capacity loss always covered?
No. Normal capacity loss is natural wear and depends on usage conditions.

Is the battery waterproof?
Water resistance depends on model and IP rating. Water damage, especially from pressure washing, may be considered misuse.

How is battery condition assessed?
Based on range, usage conditions, and measurable values if needed.

Does multimeter measurement help?
Yes, it can help understand the issue and speed up assessment.

What should I submit for a battery claim?
Send the date of issue, description of range change, photos or videos, and if possible voltage measurements before and after charging to support@ampride.ee.
